Kshetrapathi: Naveen Shankar and Co. to announce release date on THIS date

The makers of Kshetrapathi had previously disclosed that the film will arrive in cinemas in July, without divulging the exact date.

July is set to be an exciting month for Kannada moviegoers with two enterprising films making their way out. One of them is Hostel Hudagaru Bekagiddare, a promising comedy riot that boasts as many as 300 artists as part of its cast. As the title suggests, the entire film occurs on a boys hostel premises and brims with pop-culture humour and references which, according to writer-director Nithin Krishnamurthy, will be relatable to audiences of all age groups and sensibilities.

Hostel Hudagaru Bekagiddare, a Paramvah Studios presentation, will arrive in cinemas on July 21.

The second exciting venture releasing this July is Kshetrapathi. Naveen Shankar, fresh off the success and accolades he received for his role in Gurudev Hoysala, headlines this film and plays the role of a young man crusading in favour of the prevailing issues faced by farmers. 'A Right Fight For The Right,' reads the tagline of the film and as the teaser suggests, Naveen is the centre of a huge revolution that amasses support from all corners. Archana Jois plays a key role in the film and so do Achyuth Kumar, Rahul Ainapur, Krishna Hebbale, Shailashree Urs, Natya Ranga and others.

Shrikant Katagi has written and directed the film with KGF 2, Kabzaa and Salaar famed Ravi Basrur scoring the music. YVB Sagar has handled the cinematography.

It now comes to light that they will announce the release date on July 3 at 4:05 pm. It was previously speculated that the film will make its way out on July 21 but with Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare now standing in its way, the team is likely to opt for a different date.
