Ever since Adipurush hit the theatres on June 16, it has been facing severe backlash from various sections of society. While some of the viewers of the film complain about the shoddy narration and poor quality of dialogues, a few of them have also raised concerns about the incorrect depiction of facts portrayed by visual effects.
With these developments, the makers of the film are struggling to generate a positive buzz around the film. In the middle of this chaos, actress Kriti Sanon’s mother Geeta Sanon has indirectly reacted to the film. Geeta has come out in support of her daughter Kriti who essays the role of Janaki – a reincarnation of Goddess Sita – in the film.
In an Instagram post, she said, “Bhagwan Ram ne hume sikhaya hai ki Shabri ke ber mein uska prem dekho, na ki ye ki wo jhuthe the. Insaan ki galtiyo ko nahi uski bhavna samjho (Lord Ram has taught us to look for love in the berries offered to him by Shabari and not at the fact that they were half eaten. One should not look at a person's mistakes but should understand their emotions)."
In this post, Kriti’s sister Nupur Sanon has dropped a red-heart emoticon in the comments section. Not only this but this post has been liked by thousands of Instagram users.
Have a look.
Meanwhile, to avoid camerapersons questioning about the controversy, Kriti has flown out of Mumbai to an undisclosed location.
Also, to submerge the controversies surrounding the film, the makers of the film yesterday announced that the film has been rereleased at the theaters with modified dialogues. Not only this, but Adipurush makers have also reduced the film’s ticket price to Rs 150.
This is a significant development for the film, especially if the film is believed to be budgeted at Rs 500 crores. Now, only time will tell what the future holds for the film.
