As per a Pinkvilla report, Kriti Sanon has come on board a horror comedy to be produced by Aanand L Rai. As per the source, the tentative title for the film is Nayi Naveli.
“Kriti Sanon has been discussing multiple collaborations with Aanand L Rai, and is extremely fond of his work. The actress has loved a horror comedy to be bankrolled by ALR, and has given a go ahead to the same. The film in question will go on floors by mid-2025, once a major chunk of Tere Ishq Mein is wrapped up," the source added.
The source also added that horror comedies are the flavor of the season, and Nayi Naveli will introduce a completely new flavor in the genre. Kriti is also excited about exploring her character in the film and loves how this folklore unfolds on the spectacle.
“The pre-production works will also begin by January. All the stakeholders are excited to explore a new genre in 2025,” the source concluded.
In the film, Kriti was seen playing dual roles as sisters Saumya Sood and Shailee. On the other hand, Kajol played the role of a cop.
Shaheer Sheikh as Dhruv Sood impressed the viewers. Written by Kanika Dhillon, Do Patti follows Kajol investigating a crime involving Kriti and Shaheer's love story. The story's evil twin' trope shows that one sister wants to live a normal life surrounded by love, while the other wants to destroy her dreams and aspirations.
