From the time the news surfaced that Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon launched her production house along with her sister Nupur Sanon and named it Blue Butterfly Films, fans on the internet started finding a connection between the name and the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who used to use the blue butterfly emojis in his social media posts.

However, Kriti took to her Instagram to reveal the real reason behind naming her production house Blue Butterfly Films. She will be producing her first project, titled Do Patti, which also stars Kajol and is written by award-winning film writer Kanika Dhillon. It is announced to be released on Netflix.

Explaining the whole thought behind the name of her production house, Kriti said, "I do love butterflies, and I do love the colour blue; it’s been there on my Instagram bio for ages; I use it in my captions; and I use it when I write poetry. (sic)"

She also mentioned that she believed the blue butterfly signified dreams, wings, flight, freedom, liberalism, positivity, and happiness.

She further added, "I feel like a butterfly is beautiful, but it starts off with, you know, being a caterpillar, turning into a cocoon, and then turning into a butterfly. It is a slow, steady process of becoming the most beautiful version of yourself.

She feels that the journey of her life is quite like the same process.

The actor mentioned, "I’ve learned everything on the job; I’ve slowly gotten to where I am today and evolved into the person I am today. You have your struggles, but you move on, you grow, you change, and then you find the best and most beautiful version of yourself. Then you fly. So, that’s why it is a blue butterfly."

In her nine-year career, Kriti has appeared in films like Heropanti, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Mimi, and Bhediya, to name a few.

On the work front, she will next be seen in Vikas Bahl’s Ganapath: Part 1 and The Crew, starring alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Diljit Dosanjh. She also has an untitled project with Shahid Kapoor in the works.
