The actress’ upcoming releases include Shehzada, Bhediya, Ganapath and Adipurush.
Kriti Sanon is teaming up with director Anurag Kashyap for the first time for an upcoming project. News about the collaboration surfaced last year, including reports that the film might be a remake of Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill. Sanon recently set the record straight when it came to the film.
In conversation with Mid-Day, the actress revealed that Kashyap’s film was rife with action and she needed to get physically stronger for her role. Expressing her excitement at being offered many action films, the actress dispelled the rumours that the upcoming film will be a remake, saying that Kashyap 'didn't do remakes’. Although the upcoming film resembles a revenge film set in the action genre, the script was completely original.
Sanon talked about how the director is someone who liked creating a world of his own making. “I’m excited to be a part of his world and be directed by him. It will be different from anything I have done before,” she said.
The actress revealed how she had a long road ahead of her when it came to preparation for the film. There were a number of scenes with ‘raw action’ in the film and Sanon said that the makers were yet to decide on the film’s action choreography.

She is currently keeping busy with the shoots of her upcoming films Ganapath and Shehzada, with Tiger Shroff and Kartik Aaryan respectively. Due to the pandemic their schedules became disordered, she said, so she was currently in the process of juggling the filming of both. The actress also said she preferred shooting for one film at a time, as she could really focus on the role at hand.
