"The worst thing is when you can’t tell everything to everyone all at once," said Kristen Stewart about her upcoming directorial.
Kristen Stewart, who recently played Princess Diana in Pablo Larrain's Spencer will soon make her directorial debut with Chronology of Water. The film is an adaptation of Lidia Yuknavitch's memoir of the same name.
Stewart was at The Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where she spoke about how she's "very excited" for this venture, but refrained from sharing more details.
"I’m trying to put a movie together right now. I have a couple of balls in the air. I’ll tease you with that, but I’m very excited. The worst thing is when you can’t tell everything to everyone all at once," the actor told The Hollywood Reporter.
In October last year, she had said that they were in search of a lead to play Yuknavitch in the film. The book's synopsis says that the story "weaves an astonishing tale of survival" through the author's journey of abuse, addiction, self-destruction, and the loss of a stillborn child.
Stewart is broke into the acting scene with her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight film series, which also starred Robert Pattinson. Besides Spencer, her last two releases were a sci-fi drama Underwater and holiday comedy Happiest Season.
Meanwhile, Stewart is slated to share the screen space with Viggo Mortensen, Scott Speedman and Lea Seydoux in David Cronenberg’s science fiction thriller Crimes of the Future.
