Written and directed by VV Gopalakrishna, the film is presented by Koratala Siva
Satyadev, whose vigilante drama Godse hit theatres earlier this year and is now streaming on Netflix, is gearing up for another release. His upcoming film is Krishnamma, written and directed by VV Gopala Krishna. Krishna Kommalapati is bankrolling the film under Arunachala Creations. Srimanthudu director Koratala Siva is the presenter. The film stars Athira Raji as the female lead.
Actor Sai Dharam Tej launched the film’s teaser today. Satyadev and a group of friends are portrayed as orphans who’re thick friends whose roots are rather unknown, just like the river Krishna. The protagonists are seen spending happy times with one another and there are a few glimpses of the leading lady Athira Raji too. All’s well until they’re rubbed the wrong way.
A bunch of cops torture the friend trio repeatedly and the incident leaves them bitter. They’re keen to teach the mastermind a lesson and don’t mind waiting for the right time for revenge, even if they grow old. The teaser also shows the protagonists ageing and ends with Satyadev, wearing a red shirt, carrying a sickle, as if he’s ready to rip someone apart. Before we look out for answers, the teaser ends.
The first look of Krishnamma was released a few days ago, presenting Satyadev in an intense avatar. The action drama appears tailormade for the actor, for whom action and revenge dramas are staple diet. Krishnamma doesn’t look like a film that’ll exactly challenge him as an actor but it’ll be interesting to see how the story and his grey-haired avatar pans out.
Kaala Bhairava scores the music for the film which has cinematography by Sunny Kurapati. Suresh Baba is also one of the writers while Raam Kumaar is the art director. Ananth Sriram has penned the lyrics for all the songs and Prudhvi Sekhar is the stunt director. Ravi Surneddi is the executive producer. Satyadev also awaits the release of his feel-good romance Gurthunda Seethakalam.
