Golden Star Ganesh’s next, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi is his 41stfilm and his first with director Srinivasa Raju, best known for the Dandupalya movies. Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, though, is not about blood and gore as the filmmaker's earlier works were. Instead, it is said to be a rom-com family entertainer, which brings actress Malavika Nair to Kannada cinema. The film’s second heroine is Sharanya Shetty, of Gattimela fame. Principal photography of the film had been completed in December last year and it was recently reported that the team is targeting a July release.

In the run-up to the upcoming theatrical outing, the first single from the film came out. Called My Marriage is Fixed, this song composed by Arjun Janya has rapper and musician Chandan Shetty’s vocals, as he sings that he is ready for the risk. The lyrical video has a few fleeting visuals from the actual footage, featuring Ganesh busting a few moves. Written by Nishan Rai, the song has been choreographed by Raju Sundaram.

Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi is the only film that Ganesh has announced since Baanadariyalli. The actor’s recent films have not been doing well at the box office, with audiences often commenting that he’s been stuck in a rut doing the same thing over and over again. While they still want to see vintage Ganesh, who is a maverick with romance, emotional scenes and comedy, they want that in fresh stories that allow him to do more than what he usually does.

Srinivasa Raju has been tight-lipped about the project, so, not much is known about it at the moment. However, it is said that it was shot across locations in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Italy, Malta and Vietnam. The film’s cast also includes Rangayana Raghu, Shashikumar, Shruthi, Srinivasa Murthy, Sadhu Kokila, Ashok, Ramakrishna, Manasi Sudhir, Giri Shivanna, Ambuja, Shivadwaj, among others.
