KRG Studios’ big announcement to involve Kiccha Sudeep?

The production house has been teasing a major announcement and netizens are convinced it will involve the Kannada star

Several months ago, when Karthik Gowda of KRG Studios posted a picture of him with actor Kiccha Sudeep with an accompanying caption that read, “To new beginnings”, there was widespread speculation that the duo would either collaborated under KRG Studios or, even better, with Hombale Films. Subsequently, though, there was no further update, and the duo only collaborated on the Kannada Chalanachitra Cup, which is Sudeep’s brainchild.

In the last few days, though, KRG studios’ official handle has been teasing a major announcement that involved filling two blanks; K for KRG Studios, K for ____ and K for ______. With Sudeep set to turn 50 on September 2, which he is ringing in with fans at a major event in Bengaluru, the title of #Kiccha46 is apparently not the only announcement that will drop. Netizens are sure that Sudeep will collaborate with KRG Studios, but whether or not it will be for a full-fledged movie, is yet to be ascertained.

As of now, everyone is convinced that Sudeep will play a major role in KRG Studios’ next venture Kirik’et 11, which has Naveen Shankar and Danish Sait in the lead. Naveen had shared one such speculative post on his Instagram stories, which lent fuel to the rumour of Sudeep being a part of the film. Kirik’et 11 is a sports-based comedy directed by Suman Kumar. The film marks Naveen’s second collaboration with the banner after this year’s Gurudev Hoysala.

Kirik’et 11 is he fourth production venture for the banner, which began as a distribution wing and got into filmmaking only recently with the Dhananjaya-led Rathnan Prapancha. This was followed up by Gurudev Hoysala, and the in-production Uttarakaanda, both with Dhananjaya at the helm. The banner also recently tied up with The Viral Fever, a collaboration that will see them make multiple films together.
