Fans of Challenging Star Darshan were in for quite the treat this morning, when the team of the actor’s upcoming 55th film Kranti, released its first-look. Since the film’s launch in October last year, all that they’d seen so far was the title poster and fans had been patiently waiting for the next update. And boy, was that wait worth it.

Kranti marks Darshan’s second collaboration with producers Shylaja Nag and B Suresha for their banner Media House Studio, as well as with V Harikrishna as director. They had earlier collaborated on the film Yajamana, in which Darshan’s character was seen taking on the oil mafia. He was paired with Rashmika Mandanna in the film, while Tanya Hope had a pivotal role.

Since Kranti was launched, the makers have been tight-lipped about the subject, but since the title was a dead giveaway of a possible revolution in the story, it was then revealed that this time around, the actor would take the fight to the education system. The film sees Darshan teaming up with his Bulbul and Ambareesha heroine, Rachita Ram yet again.

Earlier today, the team, led by producers Shylaja Nag and B Suresha, actors Rachita and Giri Shivanna, among others, visited Darshan at his house to wish him and have him cut a special birthday cake.
