Kousalya Supraja Rama is currently in theatres and has attracted positive responses from both critics and audiences.
Darling Krishna's maiden collaboration with seasoned filmmaker Shashank, Kousalya Supraja Rama, has received positive responses from both critics and audiences. The film, which released in theatres on July 28, has been able to cope with the tough competition and also yield good results at the box office so far. According to trade reports, the film managed to collect close to Rs. 1.3 crores at the Karnataka box office over its weekend.

Alongside, we now hear that the satellite rights of Kousalya Supraja Rama have been sold for an undisclosed price to Zee Network. The reports claiming this also reveal that the film has been at a budget of Rs. 6 crores (including marketing) and that the audio rights have been picked by Saregama. Arjun Janya, who has previously worked with Shashank on three different occasions (Jarasandha, Mungaru Male 2 and Love 360), has scored the music of Kousalya Supraja Rama.
Could that mean that the OTT or digital rights of the film, too, would go to Zee? Well, the same report informs us that the OTT deal hasn't been struck yet. Zee, of course, is home to some of the most popular Kannada titles of the recent past, including Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Vikrant Rona, Gaalipata 2, Head Bush, Thothapuri and Vedha.
Kousalaya Supraja Rama, which also stars Sudha Belawadi, Brinda Acharya and Milana Nagaraj, comes as an interesting take on the aspects of male chauvinism and ego, with writer-director Shashank choosing to expose these traits through a relationship drama. The film has received a lot of praise from critics for its sensitive interpretation of the subject and how it manages to make a solid case for itself despite employing commercial tropes.
