Kottukkaali OTT release: The story follows a girl in Madurai facing family abuse for loving a boy from another caste
Kottukkaali, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Anna Ben and Soori in the lead roles, is now available for streaming on Prime Video. However, the film will also be available on Aha Tamil platform very soon, the streaming platform announced recently on social media. An OTT release date on Aha Tamil is yet to be announced.
Kottukkaali is a critically acclaimed Tamil film starring actors Anna Ben and Soori in the lead roles. The film is directed by filmmaker PS Vinothraj, who earlier made the critically acclaimed film Koozhangal.
Kottukkaali is available for streaming on Prime Video. However, it soon will be available on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium as well. Aha Tamil is yet to announce the release date on their platform. The film’s international title is The Adamant Girl. Kottukkaali is a film set against the backdrop of Madurai and revolves around a girl who refuses to speak up and communicate with her abusive household. The family believes she has committed a sin by loving a boy from the other caste. This leads to the family thinking she is possessed and take her to a temple to the shaman. The film is a road trip drama on what happens to the characters in the film during the journey.
The film’s technical crew consists of B Sakthivel cranking the camera and Ganesh Siva as the editor. The film has no prominent music, with sound design by Suren G.
Koozhangal (Pebbles) is Vinothraj’s maiden directorial. Produced by Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan under Rowdy Pictures, the film can be streamed on SonyLIV or alternatively on OTTplay Premium.
The film is set in Madurai, and about how a father and his son travel through the arid stretches to bring back the wife. Koozhangal explores the themes of abuse, childhood, and relationships.
