Srikanth, Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajashekar play key roles in Kotabommali PS, the Telugu remake of Nayattu
Kotabommali PS, the Telugu remake of the award-winning Malayalam film Nayattu, is gearing up for a release on November 24. Srikanth, Rahul Vijay, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Shivani Rajashekar play the lead roles in the film adapted and directed by Teja Marni. Bunny Vas and Vidhya Koppineedi are bankrolling the film under GA2 Pictures. Bhanu Pratapa and Riyaz Chowdary are the co-producers.
While the promotional campaign of the film had begun recently, the popularity of the folk number Lingi Lingi Lingidi, composed by Mithun Mukundan is hugely working in favour of the film. The number, sung by Relare Rela fame P Raghu is a chartbuster, amassing over 31 million views on Youtube in a span of two months. The team celebrated its success by cutting a cake earlier this week.

The cake, adorned with the text raising a toast to the 30 million mark, was celebrated in the presence of the producer, director and Rahul Vijay, Shivani Rajashekar. “We’re thrilled with the response to Lingi Lingi Lingidi. The song is continuing to top music charts everywhere. We’re hopeful that our film too will trigger enthusiastic responses from crowds,” Bunny Vas said as the cast, crew thanked audiences for their love.
The cop drama will be Shivani’s second release for the year after Jilebi, directed by K Vijaya Bhaskar. She had made her OTT debut with ZEE5’s Aha Naa Pellanta in 2022. Besides Kotabommali PS, Rahul Vijay and Shivani Rajashekar are also teaming up for a light-hearted romance saga Vidya Vasula Aham. Rahul is also awaiting the release of Maate Manthramu, where he is paired opposite Megha Akash.
For the unversed, the Malayalam original Nayattu is now streaming on Netflix. It originally starred Kunchako Boban, Joju George and Nimisha Sajayan in key roles and was directed by Martin Prakkat. “Nayattu is a must-watch for its relevance, especially at a time when truth is often tampered with by those in power, without being held accountable,” OTTplay.com's critic wrote during its release.
