Koose Munisamy Veerappan will become available for streaming on December 14.
Koose Munisamy Veerappan was one of the highly awaited releases in the OTT space this week. The series generated significant interest among everyone, thanks to its promise to uncover the unseen tapes of the infamous forest bandit Veerappan. So much so that Tamil superstar Suriya earlier tweeted the trailer, expressing his curiosity to watch it. "This riveting docu-series makes me want to know more.. congrats to the whole crew behind this project. Special mention to Nakheeran Team," Suriya tweeted.

Even after nearly two decades since his death in a police encounter, Veerappan remains a polarising figure in the country. As per the country's law, Veerappan was one the most notorious criminals in the history of independent India, and a sizable population continues to hold him in high regard.
The very premise of Koose Munisamy Veerappan seems to unmask the little-known side of Veerappan's legend, who remained a nightmare for the Indian security forces till his death in 2004. The series seems to feature people, who are sympathetic to Veerappan. For example, the series features politician-filmmaker Seeman, who asks a rarely asked question, "While Veerappan smuggled elephant tusks and sandalwood and remained in forests, where were those who bought these things from him?."
Popular journalist Nakkheeran Gopal also features in the series and claims that previous stories about Veerappan have been one-sided and solely based on police records.
The trailer for Koose Munisamy Veerappan ended with a tape showing Veerappan appealing to viewers, "I will tell you my life's story. After that you decide for yourself who's in the wrong - me or the government."
The series will also feature prominent speakers such as Ram, Pa Pa Mohan, Subbu aka Subramanyan, Koose Munisamy Veerappan, Alexander IPS, Rohini, Jeeva Thangavel, Mohan Kumar and Dhamayanthi.
