Here’s the list of all the Malayalam movies to catch this week on both OTT platforms as well as theatres
Though June is packed with big releases in other languages with movies such as Adipurush, Bloody Daddy, Satya Prem Ki Katha and The Flash set to hit theatres and OTT platforms, Mollywood has had a quiet start to the month, especially with Tovino Thomas and Asif Ali-starrer 2018 leaving theatres and now streaming on OTT.
The two theatrical releases this week stars Rajisha Vijayan, Priya Prakash Varrier and Dileesh Pothan in the lead. This should come as a respite for the film exhibitors too, who were on a strike on June 7 and June 8, and haven’t had a big release since 2018.

Director Jude Anthany Joseph’s disaster drama, which is based on the Kerala floods of 2018, paints a picture of heroism and humanity that helped the people of State tide over the calamity. Starring Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Narain, Lal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Tanvi Ram and Indrans, the film is the highest-grossing Malayalam movie, with a worldwide box office collection of over Rs 175 crore. The film is available to stream in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.

Rajisha Vijayan and Priya Prakash Varrier play Annie and Shilpa, respectively, who win the admiration of the residents of a village they come to settle in and start a business of their own. After a series of incidents, the same villagers turn against them in this suspense thriller, which has a story by Bobby-Sanjay duo and is scripted by debutants Jasim Jalal and Nelson Joseph. The movie, which also has Vinay Forrt, Shaan Rahman, Shebin Benson, Prem Prakash and Prashanth Alexander, is touted to be a heist thriller that is helmed by newcomer Suraj Varma.

O Baby

Scriptwriter-director Ranjan Pramod’s latest directorial O Baby is touted to be an intense drama-thriller that is set in the high ranges of Kerala. Starring Dileesh Pothan, Raghunath Paleri, Athulya Chandra, Haniya Nafisa and Vishnu Agasthya, the film revolves around an estate owner instructing his employee to kill his son after the latter falls in love with the owner’s daughter. How the two parents go to extreme lengths to protect their own form the plot of the movie.
