Vijay Antony's latest murder mystery Kolai has just dropped on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Balaji K. Kumar, Kolai is a riveting whodunit that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats until the very end.

When a popular model & singer - Laila (Meenakshi Chaudhary) is found dead under strange circumstances, IPS Sandhya Mohanraj (Ritika Singh) and former investigative officer Vinayak (Vijay Antony ) are tasked with the responsibility of solving the gruesome crime. A series of surprising details unfold in this intricate web of mystery and thrill, as viewers are drawn into a puzzling world of Kolai.

Apart from the lead cast, Arjun Chidambaram, Radhikaa and Murali Sharma and others play pivotal characters in the film, which is bankrolled by Infiniti Film Ventures and Lotus Pictures.

While music for the film is by Girishh Gopalakrishnan, cinematography is by Sivakumar Vijayan. Shreya Ghoshal has sung a new version of the iconic number, Paartha Nyabagam from Pudhiya Paravai, and it instantly struck a chord with the audience.

Editing and VFX supervision are by Selva RK and Ramesh Acharya respectively. Mahesh Mathew has helmed action choreography and K Aarusamy is in charge of the art direction. The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Vijay Antony's Kolai was bagged by Sakthi Film Factory.

Though the trailer of the film, piqued the curiosity among the audience, the film opened to mixed reviews from critics and audience. OTTplay critic wrote, " Kolai has a seemingly interesting plot and a neat setup, but the weak screenplay and unengaging characterizations spoil the film's prospects. The appealing visuals do not keep the audience hooked for a long time."

The film has been one of Vijay Antony 's long-delayed projects. Kolai, which hit screens on July 21, is available to stream on Prime Video in India, along with 240 countries and territories.
