Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 9
Karan Johar serves up another sizzling episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8, this time with Bollywood buddies Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty. Sharing the screen and box office success in blockbuster franchises like Golmaal and Singham, their rock-solid friendship takes centre stage as they spill the beans over some spicy talks, witty banter, and insightful conversations.
Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty recall their struggle days
Kicking off with a heavy dose of reality, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty dived into the burning topic of nepotism. Their expressions reflect the gravitas of the issue. Both veterans laid bare the truth – struggles are an equalising force in Bollywood, no matter if you have a famous surname or clawed your way up from the sidelines.
Ranveer Singh-starrer Cirkus failure
However, while talking about Cirkus, the fourteenth directorial of Rohit Shetty, when Johar asked how did he cope up with the failure, Rohit simply replied that it did not affect him at all. Rather he accepted the mistakes and flaws in the film. The 49-year-old director shared pretty good advice that if we accept the failure, try to rectify ourselves, and try to analyse what the audience wants, it would be very easy to get through the failure and move forward to the next mission. The advice has great weight, we must say!
How did Rohit Shetty overcome the loss?
Even Shetty shared that Cirkus' shooting began before Sooryavanshi, which was released in 2021, and Cirkus released in 2022. The Chennai Express director shared that even after releasing Cirkus, three days later he started shooting for Indian Police Force, which stars Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Sidharth Malhotra, Sharad Kelkar and Vivek Oberoi in the leads.
