The recent episode of Koffee with Karan Season 8 – which premiered at midnight on Disney Plus Hotstar – is again evidence of this fact. From dropping kisses on each other to showing their exclusive wedding glimpses, the first episode of the show is trending online, and for the right reasons.
Ranveer Singh recalls the first time he met Deepika Padukone
During the episode, filmmaker Karan Johar – the host of this popular talk show, asked the couple how they first met each other and felt curious to know every detail about it. Replying to this, Ranveer Singh recalled how filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali played a prominent role in their love life.
Detailing about the incident when he first saw Deepika, Ranveer Singh said, "There was a famous or infamous reading for (Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela) Ram Leela at Mr. (Sanjay Leela) Bhansali’s house in Versova. I was supposed to meet him before Deepika’s arrival. So, I was sitting at the table and the door was on my left. He has these heavy doors, and he lives by the seaside. So, these heavy doors open, and the gush of wind comes from the sea. There, Deepika enters wearing this white chikankari, hair blowing due to the sea wind just like some sadgi ki moorat. I was like 'Oh My God!'.”
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – one of the most popular couples in Bollywood who enjoy a fan following of over 120 million followers on Instagram together, got married on November 14 and November 15 in a traditional Hindu ceremony held at a high-profile place near Lake Como, Italy.

Koffee With Karan Season 8
Koffee with Karan, an Indian talk show helmed by filmmaker and TV personality Karan Johar, made a transition to Disney+ Hotstar in 2022 as an exclusive streaming offering under the Hotstar Specials label. Subsequent seasons have been airing on the platform since then.
Alia Bhatt, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, and Khushi Kapoor are expected to grace the ‘Koffee’ couch this season as well.
