Koffee With Karan 8 – Karan Johar gives a befitting reply to internet trolls on Ep 8 citing Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh episode facing negativity

The latest episode 8 featured Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor gracing the infamous couch and the trio discussed everything from career trajectories to romance and humor.

Koffee With Karan is back with another intriguing episode! In the latest episode of season 8, the witty host invited the eligible bachelors of Bollywood –Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. Apart from revealing their mantras for a positive career outlook, the whimsical duo also had a competitive streak in the Rapid Fire round as well as the coffee shots round.

The two unmarried boys, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur are often in the limelight for their romance and charming personalities. Today as well the host also let the Koffee guests spill the beans about their love life and also tried to address some rumors for the Night Manager. In a candid discussion, the men revealed how they deal with the negative comments and audiences’ responses on social media. However, the discussion quickly shifted to the first Koffee guests of the eighth season, which were Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Karan Johar is angry about trolls and memes around DeepVeer

The filmmaker host has not shied away from speaking his heart out on several issues, whether it’s his sexuality, the film’s highs and lows, or showing the “ugly” truth of being the public figure. Today, the 53-year-old candidly discussed how negativity and internet trolls often breach the privacy of a celebrity’s life, citing his tactic to draw away the heat by developing a ”thick skin” against himself. He shared how bitterly he was trolled on the internet for his relationships, sexuality, body shaming and some even dragged down his family, including his mother and children.

Reminiscing the inaugural episode of Season 8 when the IT couple – Deepika Padukone Ranveer Singh graced the KWK couch and graciously shared a significant part of their private lives. He said, “I feel it was one of the most honest episodes and heartfelt episodes I did with Deepika and Ranveer. All three of us came clean on so much of our emotional heft, so many of our feelings.”

The host also revealed how DeepVeer faced the brunt of the heat after the debut episode. “And then there was a ridiculous after-effect. I just want to put it out there that episode angered me and the reactions.

“It was one of our best episodes. They were outstandingly honest. They were earnest. They spoke so much. They shared so much. And then you’re f***ing talking about some nonsense. What do you know about somebody’s personal life and marriage,” he further added.

The filmmaker gave the trolls a befitting reply and also advised them to watch their mouths and focus on their families first before pointing fingers at anybody else. And ended the debate on a raging note and a middle finger to shun the negativity.
