Koffee With Karan 7 host Karan Johar finally addresses harsh trolling: Faceless, nameless people said annoying things on television

The ace filmmaker shared that a lot of snake emojis were shared on his social media pages by the trolls.

On the first episode of Koffee with Karan Season 7 Karan Johar finally spoke out about the online trolling he endured while producing his talk show during the COVID-19 pandemic. Karan said that it was nameless and faceless individuals speaking irritating things on television. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director welcomed Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as the first guests on the show at the start of the first episode of the season.

After actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away during the pandemic, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director received a lot of criticism on social media for being the "flag-bearer of nepotism." In the season's first episode, the 50-year-old director finally talked about that.

Karan said in a statement that he went through a lot. It was a difficult time, and at that time, it seemed like the snake emoji would appear whenever Koffee with Karan was discussed. Additionally, he once believed that he wouldn't be able to bring the show back due to the numerous attacks. He doesn't know why, but KJo has a snake emoji that appears either when they call me "GayJo" or for other unknown reasons. He is not sure what about him feels or looks like a snake, but he wants to assure everyone that he is not one; in fact, he fears snakes.

The Gully Boy actor reacted angrily to all of the trolls' comments by saying to leave his Karan alone as he is merely a "Gudda".

The entertaining show came to a happy conclusion with Alia defeating the Padmaavat actor in the buzzer game and the actor taking home the gift basket for the rapid-fire round with 71% of the live audience's votes.

The duo of Ranveer and Alia are set to team up for the second time in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which is directed by Karan. The film is set for a 2023 release.
