The actress flaunted a giant ring in her latest Instagram picture
It looks like Karthika Nair is engaged, at least if one were to go by her latest picture on Instagram. In the picture, she is seen embracing a man, while flaunting her ring. Her Instagram has been flooded with congratulatory messages. Both Karthika or her mother, veteran actress Radha have not spoken anything about the engagement and hence, an official comment is awaited.
Actress remains tight-lipped about the man in her life
Karthika though didn't caption the picture, she used the eye-shaped amulet emoji, which is considered to ward off the evil eye. Fans have begun their guessing game in the meantime. The actress hasn't spilled a single detail about the man in life as of now.
Karthika has always kept her personal life and has refrained from sharing anything important on social media. However, she drops pictures of herself with her sister Tulasi (who made her film debut with Mani Ratnam's Kadal) and her mother Radha from time to time.
Karthika's Nair's stint in films
The actress made her acting debut with the Telugu film Josh (2009), in which she starred opposite Naga Chaitanya. However, it was her Tamil debut Ko (2011), which catapulted her fame. She played a journalist in the film and teamed up opposite Jiiva, Pia Bajpai and Ajmal. The film helmed by the late KV Anand opened to positive reviews and Karthika became an overnight star.

She later worked in Bharathiraja's Annakodi and the late SP Jhananathan's Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai. Her character Kuyili in the latter became quite popular. Her film Vaa Deal, opposite Arun Vijay, has been shelved. However, she didn't act in any films after 2015.
Karthika also appeared in Makaramanju, Dammu, Proprietors: Kammath & Kammath, Brindavana and Brother of Bommali. She also mader her television debut with the series Aarambh. After her stint in showbiz, she turned her attention into business and was recently awarded for being an inspiring entrepreneur.
