The film will see Joaquin Phoenix essaying the role of Napoleon Bonaparte
Ridley Scott is one of the most revered filmmakers and has done a number of great films in his illustrious career. The filmmaker is currently working on a period drama titled Kitbag. Scott has now revealed that the project will have no less than six battle sequences.
“On top of that, there's also his entire career-he did 61 battles. I'm trying to tell the story where we see six important battles,” said Scott in an interview with Deadline.
The filmmaker also added that the sale for him was that he wanted to do a movie about Napoleon Bonaparte and wanted Joaquin Phoenix to play the military leader and spoke with Jodie Comer saying that he wanted her to pay Josephine Bonaparte.

The film will focus on the life of the French military general, both his achievements and life in the field of war as well his relationship with his wife Josephine.
Scott has proven his worth in historical epics before in his career, with Oscar-winning Gladiator with Russell Crowe, Kingdom of Heaven, 1492: Conquest of Paradise and Exodus: Gods and Kings.
The director also released two films in 2021, with the first being The Last Duel, an epic historical drama, starring Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon. The film also starred Jodie Comer, who appeared as Josephine in Kitbag.
House of Gucci a biographical crime drama based on the 2001 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, was his second movie of 2021. Starring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek and Al Pacino, the film received mixed reviews.
