Kishen Das wraps up shooting for psychological emotional drama Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai

Actor Kishen Das, who was last seen in RJ Balaji-starrer Singapore Saloon has announced that he has wrapped shooting for his upcoming film titled Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai on Friday. The actor penned a series of emotional posts on X (formerly Twitter), thanking his team. Tipped to be a psychological and emotional drama, the film is helmed by debutant director Saleem R Baadshah.

Kishen Das will be starring in the upcoming psychological-emotional drama titled Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai. Apart from him, the film also stars Vetri and Deepthie Orintelu as leads. Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai is directed by Saleem R Baadhah and produced by IB Karthikeyan’s Big Print Pictures.

Announcing that he has wrapped shooting for the film, Kishen Das said that it is his sixth film and added, "Though some of them haven’t been amazing or haven’t done amazingly well, it feels surreal that I’ve been able to get and do so much work in this industry."

Calling the film special, Kishen Das said that he felt something special playing the character and could not wait for the film to get released. He also said that the role was challenging as a performer and thanked his team.

As per a Cinema Express report, the film will revolve around three characters who have a different outlook on life. Kishen Das will be playing a highway robber. The film also stars writer Bakkiyam Shankar along with new faces. The technical crew includes cinematographer Amal Tomy, with Aashish Joseph handling the editing. A release date for Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, apart from Eerapadham Kaatru Mazhai, Kishen Das also has a film titled Tharunam, directed by Arvindh Srinivasan, who previously made Deja Vu with Arulnithi. The film co-stars Smruthi Venkat and is expected to be a romance thriller film. Tharunam makers have not revealed the release date.
