King of Kotha's Gokul Suresh: Dulquer Salmaan took a lot of risks for the film

King of Kotha is among the m ost eagerly anticipated Malayalam films to release this year. Directed by Abilash Joshiy and starring Dulquer Salmaan, the film, which is co-produced by the actor, is made on a large scale and is said to have a massive climax.
There is a lot of curiosity around the film, and now actor Gokul Suresh has spoken about the risks that Dulquer has taken while making the film.
"Dulquer took a lot of risks with this film, both physical and financial. He put in a lot of hard work to make the film. The film took longer than anticipated, but I cooperated and didn't want to cause any issues. Dulquer's hard work is the success of his production company. He always wants his productions to do well and never compromises," Gokul told Behindwoods.

Gokul had said earlier that King of Kotha has the potential to gross over Rs 200 crore at the box office. He believes that it will be the biggest film helmed by a debutant in Malayalam.
Along with Gokul, actors Shammi Thilakan and TG Ravi have also showered praise on the film, citing its massive sets and production scale.
What is King of Kotha about?
King of Kotha revolves around an ambitious young man who wants to become a goon like his father. The film tells the story of Dulquer's character and his reign as a leader in a fictional place called Kotha.
The trailer for the film, which was released recently, features exhilarating action sequences and mass scenes. The trailer became one of the most viewed Malayalam trailers, breaking the record set by Yash's KGF 2.
Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead in the movie, which is scripted by Abhilash N Chandran. Apart from the lead cast, the film also stars Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, Shabeer Kallarackal, and Anikha Surendran.
King of Kotha will be released in August along with Nivin Pauly's Ramachandra Boss & Co and RDX.
Meanwhile, Dulquer's first web series, Guns and Gulaabs, is all set to premiere on Netflix on August 18. The comedy-thriller series has Rajkummar Rao and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles.
