The makers of the award-winning family drama film Kida, which is gearing up for its theatrical release on November 11, have unveiled a new track. The Ra Venkat directorial has had a successful festival run. The new song Alaparai Kudupom is composed by Theeson, with the lyrics for the peppy number penned by Ekadesi. The movie, starring Kaali Venkat, is bankrolled by Tollywood producer ‘Sravanthi’ Ravi Kishore, marking his entry into Tamil cinema.

Velmurugan has sung the new track Alaparai Kudupom, from Kida. The music, presented by Aditya Music Tamil, describes the beauty of Madurai district. The song captures the magical essence of life in Madurai, describing its people with a fun and satirical twist.
Kida’s heart-warming story
Previously, the makers of Kida had released the film’s trailer, which opens with a line saying that Diwali brings together the people of India, irrespective of their religion and caste. In the movie, Poo Ramu plays a doting grandfather, who wants to give his grandson new clothes during the festival, but struggles to do so due to financial constraints. The film takes the viewers into the world of the grandfather, as he tries to make his grandson happy amid challenges, even if it means selling the goat that he has kept as an offering to god. Kida wins awards at film festivals
Kida has been screened at several film festivals, garnering attention from viewers and critics alike. The movie won praise at the prestigious Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and at Jagran Film Festival. Kida also bagged awards under the ‘Best Feature Film’ and ‘Best Actor’ categories at the 20th Chennai International Film Festival, 2022.
