The trailer of the critically acclaimed film, Kida is finally here. The trailer was released by Viduthalai actors Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Soori on their social media handles today.

All about Kida
Kida is directed by Ra Venkat and has become the talk of the town ever since it bagged a number of awards at the film festival circuit. The film revolves around a grandfather, grandson and their pet goat. The grandfather wants to fulfill his grandson's wish of buying clothes for Diwali which cost Rs 2,000. He tries to get a  loan for the same, but no one agrees to lend him money. Now the only option is to sell the family's pet goat. However, the grandson and the goat share an unbreakable bond. Will the grandfather be able to make his grandchild happy? The star cast includes Poo Ramu and Kaali Venkat.

Kida will hit screens in November
After winning laurels at the film festival circuit, Kida is finally gearing up for release in theatres on November 11. The film will also be released in Telugu with the title Deepavali. Interestingly, the plot is set in the backdrop of the festival of lights. Kida marks the debut of producer 'Sravanthi' Ravi Kishore in Tamil cinema and the producer had earlier shared his excitement about his maiden venture opening to such positive reviews.

Awards galore for Kida
Kida, which is a poignant tale of familial bonds, bagged the awards for the Best Feature Film and Best Actor at the 20th Chennai International Film Festival, 2022. The film, which was screened as part of the Indian Panorama section, received a standing ovation at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2022, held in Goa. The film was also recognised at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne and the Jagran Film Festival.
