Kichcha 46 (or Kiccha 46) is officially on the floors and we hear that Kiccha Sudeep and Co. are stationed in Chennai for the shoot. The proceedings began on Monday, July 31, with reports informing us that the team plans on shooting for 65 days at a stretch which will form the first schedule of production.

While it is uncommon for film teams to endure such a long stint, it has now come to light that Sudeep is extremely keen on releasing the film sometime this year. And the hustle, so to speak, is likely in that very pursuit.

According to a well-known film journalist, S Shyam Prasad, who happened to visit Kiccha Sudeep on the sets of Kichcha 46, the superstar actor has admitted that he is hell-bent and extremely keen on releasing his film in 2023. The prospects of that happening look slightly bleak considering we are in August already, but with the team opting to hit the ground running with a long shooting schedule, one could still expect them to make the plan work.

Social media users, though, are divided on this with a few of them expressing excitement over the chance to see Sudeep in theatres soon. The rest, however, feel that Sudeep must dedicate the right amount of time to this much-anticipated film, even if takes longer than usual.

The 51-year-old actor was last seen in R. Chandru's Kabzaa in a cameo role but his most recent full-fledged, marquee role remains Anup Bhandari's Vikrant Rona. Though Sudeep received praise for his performance as the titular character, the big-budget film somehow failed to work as expected at the box office. So, in that vein, many believe that a massive hit from Sudeep's end is their due.

Kichcha 46, on the other hand, promises to present him in the larger-than-life, massy yet gritty avatar that his fans are yearning for. The film is directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa and produced by Kalaippuli S. Thanu.
