Kiccha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona promotions to kickstart in Mumbai on June 23

According to a source, Sudeep will address the media in Bengaluru on June 22, before taking off on the promotional tour.

Earlier today, invites for a Mumbai press briefing for the trailer launch of Kiccha Sudeep’s much-anticipated 3D fantasy action thriller, Vikrant Rona, were sent out. The Mumbai event, as it turns out, is on June 23, the day that the team announced that the trailer would be released. While the trailer release announcement did not specify a time, the event in Mumbai is at 11 am on Wednesday. Does that mean that Sudeep and Jacqueline will launch the trailer in Mumbai?

According to a source from the team, Sudeep, director Anup Bhandari and the rest of the cast will be in Mumbai on Thursday, from where the team will then head to Kochi and Chennai on Friday, and Hyderabad on Saturday. Where does that leave Bengaluru then? Well, our source tells us that Sudeep and co will meet the local media on June 22 before heading off on the promotional tour. But will Bengaluru get the first glimpse of the trailer? Well, that remains to be seen. No official invite has gone out for the June 22 on-ground event, yet and we will keep you posted as and when we get more details.

The trailer launch, of course, has created a lot of excitement among fans, who are expecting anything between 2.30 and 2.45 minutes of entertainment. However, when we checked the censor board site for details on the trailer, we found one for 1 minute and 53 seconds only, submitted by Shalini Manjunath on May 20, 2022. Fans, however, are unwilling to believe that the team would present a sub 2-minute trailer, which they also believe is unacceptable. Well, the only elements from the film that team Vikrant Rona has submitted to the CBFC in the last two years (June 2020 to June 2022) are the teaser of Gadang Rakkamma, the Gadang Rakkamma song and the trailer. So… looks like it will be really short trailer, after all.
