Kiccha Sudeep’s Max wrapped up; fans await release update
The announcement gives fans hope that Max could be a 2024 release after all. Sudeep has not had a solo release since 2022’s Vikrant Rona. His only other major onscreen appearance in the time since has been as the host of the Kannada version of Bigg Boss, so, it is no wonder that his fans have been getting impatient about the status of Max.
According to reports, Max is an action thriller that has Sudeep in cop mode. It is still months away from its date with audiences, but there’s hope that it will be here soon. In the meantime, how about a Sudeep movie marathon with some of his best action dramas/thrillers available on OTT?
Director Anup Bhandari’s third film, Vikrant Rona, takes audiences back to Kamarottu, the village that he’d set his debut RangiTaranga in. While Rangitaranga explored the mysterious case of women going missing, this time around, it was to do with children and Sudeep played Vikrant Rona, a cop trying to get to the bottom of it, as he has a personal motive.

Sudeep played a para Commando in cinematographer-filmmaker S Krishna’s Hebbuli. The film revolves around Sudeep’s character Captain Ram as he investigates the circumstances that led to his brother’s death.
One of Sudeep’s most talked about roles in khaki, this one saw him play the title role, Inspector Kempegowda, an honest cop pitted against a gangster with vast bureaucratic connections. The film is the Kannada remake of the Tamil hit Singham and was directed by Sudeep.
Sudeep features in a double role in Kotigobba 2, as twins Shiva and Sathya. One is a professional thief, while the other works in real estate. Chasing Shiva, the cops arrest Sathya, which ignites a spark of suspicion as to whether there really are two of them or if Shiva is Satya and vice versa.
The sequel to Kotigobba 2 has Sudeep in a double role yet again, with the cops hot in pursuit of an international thief, who, as it turns out, is Shiva. Satya's story about having a twin turned out to be true, after all. Kotigobba 3 deals with Shiva's backstory.
