Reports emerged in March stating that Sanchith was gearing up to launch his career all over again, except that he wouldn't only be acting but also directing his debut outing.
Kiccha Sudeep's nephew Sanchith Sanjeev's debut film has been in the works for quite some time. Having learnt the crafts of acting, film direction and cinematography at the New York Academy, Sanchith began his career in Kannada cinema with the 2018 film Ambi Ning Vayassaytho, which he co-directed with Gurudatha Ganiga. Soon after, he was meant to foray into acting and Bell Bottom and Banaras filmmaker Jayathirtha was to direct him in a film that, for myriad unknown reasons, did not take off.
And as the days flew by, one stopped encountering any news regarding Sanchith Sanjeev's debut film until the conversation was rekindled very recently in 2023. Reports emerged in March stating that Sanchith was gearing up to launch his career all over again, except that he wouldn't only be acting but also directing his debut outing. The title Jimmy, too, cropped up in the same vein but audiences awaited a formal word on this.

And as per the latest speculations, it would seem that June 15 is the chosen date for the announcement regarding Sanchith Sanjeev's debut. Kiccha Sudeep, his maternal uncle, is also said to have set up a 'big stage' to introduce him as a leading man with K.P. Sreekanth billed as the producer of this project.
Sreekanth K.P. took to social media a short while ago (on June 13) to state that he is super excited to announce an 'exciting collaboration', which is scheduled to arrive at 11 am on June 14. G. Manoharan of Lahari Films, too, is associated with the project and several social media users now stand confirmed that the project in question is Sanchith Sanjeev's launchpad.
Would the film be 'Jimmy'? Well, the attention is firmly on the announcement that's due but going by the same speculations, there is a good chance that another director has been brought on board, with Sanchith required to focus only on his performance as a leading man. Regardless, one awaits the formal announcement before drawing conclusions and the big update isn't far off anyway!
