Tabu will be next seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's Khufiya, also starring Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi.
Tabu is currently gearing up for her upcoming thriller film 'Khufiya'. In the movie, Tabu plays a feisty and independent R&AW agent who prioritizes her work and her country over everything else. The film, which also stars Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
Recently, Tabu has spoken out about how little she appears in comedies. She emphasized how few comedic movies there are in comparison to other genres. Additionally, according to Tabu, there haven't historically been many people who could see women in funny roles.

Tabu questions the association of women with comedy in the film industry
In a conversation with Galatta Plus, when Tabu was questioned about the possibility of appearing in additional movies like Jawani Jaaneman (also starring Saif Ali Khan), she said that she don't believe that genre of movies is produced on a daily basis. Therefore, a comic book movie has a much lower ratio than other genres, according to the actress. "Any actor is always going to be doing fewer comic roles and comedy films as opposed to the other, right? Because the space is too limited. So, I don’t know if so many characters like these are written for women. But these characters are not to be seen generally in cinema, like in life,” she said.
Tabu continued that she don't think we associate women with comedy or fun or that so much anymore. Because a lot of ladies are making you laugh right now, but she doesn't think it used to be that way until recently. There weren't many people who could think about women in that way, and there weren't many women who could make you laugh. Vishal Bhardwaj responded to this by saying, “Tabu is very funny; people don’t know, right? And she’s the most funny when she’s angry.”
