The upcoming comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein is an official adaptation of the 2016 Italian comedy thriller 'Perfect Strangers'. The film boasts an amazing cast including Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapse Pannu, and Ammy Virk, among others. After collaborating in thrillers like Baby and Naam Shabana, Akshay and Taapsee are set to reunite with this Mudassar Aziz directorial.

Khel Khel Mein Release Date

The film was earlier scheduled to be released in September, however, the makers then changed the release date to the occasion of Independence Day. Interestingly, the film will clash with two other Bollywood films - Vedaa, starring John Abraham and Sharvari, and Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Stree 2 and Vedaa are also scheduled to be released on the same day, i.e. August 15.

According to the trailer of the film, Khel Khel Mein revolves around the narrative of seven friends (played by Akshay, Taapsee, Vaani, Fardeen, Ammy, Aditya, and Pragya). When they gather for a dinner party, they play a game in a room where they ask everyone to surrender their phones. The real twists and turns take place when their secrets and lies begin to unravel. The film promises to be a fun ride with a lot of laughter and thrill as the real lives of all characters are unveiled through their phones.

This Akshay Kumar starrer will first be released in theatres on August 15. After enjoying its theatrical run, the film will be released on OTT platforms, however, there aren't any specific details regarding the film's availability on the digital platform yet.
