Khel Khel Mein - Fardeen Khan joins Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu in upcoming comedy release, marking his return to big screen after nearly 15 years

Vaani Kapoor, Amy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal also play pivotal roles in the Mudassar Aziz directorial.

September 2024 will see the release of Mudassar Aziz's upcoming film, Khel Khel Mein. The film brings Akshay Kumar back to the comedy genre and will see him reunite with Taapsee Pannu after five years. Now, the makers have dropped a photo of the whole team posing together with Aziz.

Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Amy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal complete the cast in the picture alongside Akshay and Taapsee. Along with the photo, the makers also announced the release date. Khel Khel Mein will hit the big screen on September 6, 2024.

While there is not much information on the film, a source told Pinkvilla that Khel Khel Mein is a comedy-error film about three couples. The makers will open up the plot with their assets over the coming few months, leading to the theatrical release on September 6, the insider stated, adding that it is a situation comedy.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, Rajesh Bahl, Shashi Sinha, and Ajay Rai are the producers of the film.

Return of Fardeen Khan on the big screen

Interestingly, with Khel Khel Mein, Fardeen returns to the big screen after nearly 15 years. In 2010, Aziz made his directorial debut with his last movie, Dulha Mil Gaya starring Sushmita Sen and Ishita Sharma in the lead roles, and Shah Rukh Khan made a cameo appearance.

In the meantime, Sarfira Akshay's next film, is getting ready to hit theatres on July 12 under the direction of Sudha Kongara. In addition to Suriya's cameo, the film stars Akshay and Paresh Rawal. This year, throughout the Christmas holiday in 2024, Akshay will star in three films: Sarfira, Khel Khel Mein and Welcome to the Jungle. Currently, the shoot is underway for the adventure comedy set in a tropical jungle.

Akshay's first release in 2024 is Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which hit the big screen earlier this month and became a box office failure.
