Sharing that he has watched quite a few rushes of the film and that he wishes to watch the film in a cinema hall along with a massive audience, Uppi said that Vikrant Rona will take the Kannada film industry to new heights.
The team of Vikrant Rona recently embarked on promotional tour ahead of the film's grand release. The stint saw them address the media in cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru wherein they also shared the stage with the biggest superstars: while Salman Khan was seen promoting the Hindi version of Vikrant Rona in Mumbai, Akkineni Nagarjuna lent his support to the team in Hyderabad during the promotions. And as Anup Bhandari and Co. reached their hometown of Bengaluru, it was none other than the Real Star Upendra who graced the special public event held on July 26.
Upendra took the stage amidst tremendous hysteria, with fans from all over the city thronging the event to catch a glimpse of their favorite superstars. He spoke in his usual candor and showered praise on what the makers of Vikrant Rona have achieved: sharing that he has watched quite a few rushes of the film and that he wishes to watch the film in a cinema hall along with a massive audience, Uppi added that the film will take the Kannada film industry to new heights.
“I must congratulate and laud Anup Bhandari’s efforts in putting this film together – it's been 3 years of hard work. I speak such highly of this film [Vikrant Rona] because I have seen many glimpses of it and it’s incredible. Everyone will enjoy it thoroughly. We saw K.G.F: Chapter 2 put our Kannada cinema on the national map, and become a pan-India success. Now, Vikrant Rona will go even further and achieve a “pan-world” status! To put it shortly, this is not Vikrant Rona but Victory Rona,” said Upendra to a thumping response from the crowd.
Later on, Kiccha Sudeep stepped on to the dais and thanked his Mukunda Murari and Kabzaa co-star for the kind words. “We have always looked up to Upendra sir for his work and kind of organic and genuine fan-following he boasts of. His reach has always been 10 times larger and wider than ours,” said Sudeep of his colleague.
