KGF: Chapter 2: Yash’s pan-Indian blockbuster is now available to rent on Amazon Prime Video

KGF: Chapter 2, starring Yash in the lead, has been ruling the Indian box office since its much-awaited release on April 14. And now, it is predicted that it will continue to rule over the OTT platform as well on its digital release. The movie’s OTT release has become a talk of the town and now there is an exciting update for the fans.

Amazon Prime Video took to social media to announce that KGF: Chapter 2 is now available for rent as a part of the early access before its release on the platform for all subscribers.

Sharing the news with a photo of Yash and Sanjay Dutt’s characters from the movie, the Instagram post also reads, “thrill ×2 | craziness ×2 | K.G.F ×2 #EarlyAccessOnPrime, rent now (sic)”. The post also confirms that the movie will be available in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi in HD quality at Rs 199.

Movie Rentals on Prime Video was launched recently as an extension of its entertainment marketplace offering, and provides customers across India, an at-home, theatre-like early access to films.

Reports had previously suggested that the OTT rights of the movie was bought by a leading platform for a whopping price and that it will start streaming from May 27. But it seems to have hit the small screens already as Prime Video has announced that the film can be rented to watch now by its users.

KGF: Chapter 2, which is helmed by Prashanth Neel, has already crossed the Rs. 1,000 crore mark at the worldwide box office. The Hindi version of the movie has also set a number of records in the Hindi-speaking belts.

“Rocking Star Yash’s fans can rejoice. If he announced his arrival as a pan-Indian star with Chapter 1, with Chapter 2 he proclaims that he’s here to stay,'' reads the movie’s review on OTTplay.

Apart from Yash reprising his role as Rocky from the first instalment, the movie also features Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty and Prakash Raj in important roles. KGF: Chapter 1 is also available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
