KGF: Chapter 2; directed by Prashant Neel, will be released in cinemas this Friday.
Telangana government has reportedly greenlit the decision to increase ticket prices for Yash’s highly-anticipated movie KGF: Chapter 2.
Times of India states that the state government has consented to screen five shows every day. It has also given permission to raise movie ticket prices by Rs 50 in multiplexes and Rs 30 in single screens, based on existing selling ticket costs. The government has reportedly only allowed the creators and distributors to observe the aforesaid rule for the first four days of the film's launch.
KGF 2 is already doing extremely well in advance bookings, and the reaction is also positive across other language versions. It has been reported that KGF: Chapter 2 is being released on more than 10,000 screens across the world.
Prashanth Neel has written and directed the movie, which also features Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Anant Nag, Ramcharan Raju and Prakash Raj in major roles.
KGF: Chapter 1 introduced Yash’s Rocky, a young guy who wants power and fortune in order to keep a promise he made to his dying mother. His hunt leads him to Mumbai, where he becomes embroiled in the famed gold mafia. The events are set in 1952 and primarily occur at the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). The movie premiered on December 21, 2018 and made approximately Rs 250 crore at the box office.
The second part continues from where the original left off. In a recent interview, Yash said that the sequel includes the best part of Rocky’s story.
KGF: Chapter releases in cinemas on April 14 in five languages: Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. It has a total running time of 168 minutes. The movie is bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films.
