KGF: Chapter 2: Sanjay Dutt undergoes body transformation for role of Adheera in Yash-led film, wife Manyata shares prep video

KGF 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon and Archana Jois, among others.

Finally, after about five years, KGF 2 is about to hit the theatres. The sequel to KGF 1 will have Yash reprise his role as Rocky in the period action film, written and directed by Prasanth Neel. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, who will be making his debut in the Kannada industry with this pan-Indian movie.

Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Adheera in the movie. The trailer of the film was released recently on March 27 and it looks like Adheera will not be easy to defeat by his rival Rocky, played by Yash. Dutt looks intense and someone who would indulge even in a bloodbath to win the KGF mines back. Wearing full armour with a sword in his hand, his first look poster also revealed him to be brutal and cold-blooded, leaving fans into a frenzy.

But the actor worked really hard for the look. He underwent a complete body transformation to get into the shoes of the character. Dutt's wife, Manyata recently posted a video clip, which is a montage of his transformation images. Sharing the clip from his gym workout on her Instagram story, tagging her husband, she wrote, "And You roar again" and "I believe in you".

A few days earlier, Sanjay Dutt had also shared his excitement to hit the gym, hinting at his hard work for his role of Adheera. With his first look poster and the trailer of the film out, fans are eagerly waiting to see him back on screen.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale, the film KGF Chapter 2 stars Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. It also features Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj, among others. The film is all set to hit theatres on April 14, 2022, in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.

Meanwhile, Dutt has several projects in the pipeline. Apart from KGF Chapter 2, he has Ghudchadhi, directed by Binoy Gandhi, Shamshera and Toolsidas Junior.
