India bookings are likely to open from April 8, say sources.
In just over two weeks, one of the most eagerly anticipated films, KGF: Chapter 2 will release in theatres. Produced by Hombale Films and directed by Prashant Neel, the Yash-starrer is all set for world-wide release on April 14, what with the makers having finalized distribution partners for most parts of the world, including US, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Middle East, Europe and Africa, among others. While the film is still days away from release and the trailer dropped only on Sunday, advance bookings have already begun in several foreign destinations, where the film is being presented not only in Kannada, but Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi as well.
As news broke that KGF: Chapter 2 overseas advance bookings began, fans back home started getting restless, wondering when it will be available in India too. While there is no official confirmation from the production house about when advance bookings will open here, industry insiders estimate it will begin by April 8, considering that two other big films, Vijay’s Beast and Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey are also releasing on that festive weekend.
KGF: Chapter 2 is the second and final instalment in the KGF saga and concludes Rocky Bhai’s tale. The film stars Yash in the lead, along with Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Vasishta N Simha, Tarak Ponnappa, John Kokken, Malavika Avinash, Archana Jois, BS Avinash, Achyuth Kumar, among others. The film has music by Ravi Basrur and cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda.
The makers have lined up 4 Seasons Creations and AP International to handle the overseas distribution of the film in all five languages.
