"We were expecting Yash 19 on April 14 and KGF 3 update came out of syllabus," wrote a Twitter user, suggesting that no one actually saw Hombale Films make such a startling announcement. To mark the first anniversary of KGF: Chapter 2's theatrical release, the makers released a special tribute video which was a part recap of the saga and also an emphatic revelation that said that Rocky Bhai's journey is far from over.

"Where was Rocky from 1978 - 1981?" is the question that haunts almost everyone on social media at the moment and it would seem that only K.G.F: Chapter 3 can shed light on Rocky's escapades in that three-year window. For now, we know that his alleged death in the middle of the Indian Ocean has every chance of being a hoax and that he committed crimes in as many 16 years in those 3 years, which obligated the CIA to extradite him from India.

There are many theories about Rocky's "death" and what he might have potentially done between 1978 and 1981. However, netizens are gradually growing sure that, all speculations and conjectures aside, if there is one man who can answer all the questions, it is journalist and author of the Eldorado book Anand Ingalagi.

To refresh your memory, Ananth Nag appeared in the KGF: Chapter 1 in the role of Anand Ingalagi (with Ashok Sharma as the younger version). However, his son Vijayendra Ingalagi takes over the reins due to Anand's ill health and narrates the proceedings shown in KGF: Chapter 2. Fans and ardent theorists are of firm opinion at the moment that the senior Ingalagi's first-hand account of the events will prove vital to close all the existing open ends.

Many suggest that Vijayendra Ingalagi might be in cahoots with the government and is likely to have twisted the actual events, including that of Rocky Bhai's alleged death.

Another exciting theory about the events that transpired between 1978 and 1981 is in relation to the name 'Jimmy Carter'. In one of the smaller but highly memorable sequences of KGF 2, Rocky is seen meeting with an American businessman named Jimmy Carter who introduces himself as the CEO of DELVER STEEL TEXAS. USS Jimmy Carter also happens to be a USA submarine that is named after their former president Jimmy Carter, who was in chair from 1977 and 1981!

Fans have hypothesized that during the fatal attack in 1981, Rocky could well have escaped through a submarine and retained all the gold that was submerged in water.
