KGF 2 Box Office predictions: Yash’s movie to beat all records in Hindi, even cross RRR’s collection

The much-awaited KGF: Chapter 2 has finally hit theatres around the world today. The Yash starrer, which also features Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist, is expected to have a massive box office opening on day one.

According to trade analyst Sumit Kadel, the advance booking of the Hindi version of the movie crossed Rs. 25 crore nett for the opening day. This makes KGF: Chapter 2 the movie with the second highest advance booking of all time after Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala told DNA India that the Hindi version of KGF: Chapter 2 will surpass the lifetime collection of KGF: Chapter 1 on its first day, The Hindi version of the first movie collected Rs. 40-45 crore in its lifetime and the second movie is expected to collect more going by its massive advance booking numbers.

The makers have also taken to Twitter to confirm that over 40 Lakh tickets were sold as advance booking through BookMyShow and PayTM.

Reports also suggest that the movie has the potential to overtake the opening day numbers of War starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff as well as Avengers: Endgame. WAR, a commercial success following its release, reportedly made Rs. 51 crore with its sole Hindi release.

Directed by Prasanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 stars Yash in the lead role and Sanjay Dutt as the main antagonist. The movie also features Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Ramachandra Raju and Achyuth Kumar in other important roles.

Fans have taken to Twitter to talk about the movie after the release of early shows, and it seems like the Yash starrer has lived up to the hype. Backed by Hombale Films, the period action entertainer is in theatres in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
