The much-awaited Kerala State Film Awards 2024 have been revealed. Kerala Minister of Cultural Affairs Saji Cheriyan made the announcement of the prestigious awards today at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram. As anticipated by all, Blessy's Aadujeevitham won the most accolades this year across a wide range of categories. Blessy took home the Best Director title, while Prithviraj Sukumaran was named the winner of the Best Actor category for his stellar performance as the main protagonist of the film, Najeeb.

Netizens call Aadujeevitham, the most deserving film

The Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer has already received a tonne of praise on social media, with users praising it for being the most deserving movie in a number of categories. Numerous people have said that the director deserves much more recognition for the 16 years of arduous work that went into this project.

The majority has also stated that it was widely expected and predicted long in advance of the official announcement that Prithviraj would win Best Actor. “Youngest actor to win three Kerala State Best Actor Awards, after Mohanlal,” a user wrote on X. After the film's premiere, Prithviraj received a lot of praise for his role as Najeeb, a Malayali labourer trapped into working in dangerous conditions in Saudi Arabia's deserts.

Others have continued to express appreciation for the other cast members, particularly KR Gokul, who has also been selected for special recognition by the jury.

Aadujeevitham, one of the most anticipated Malayalam films of 2024, took more than ten years to make, and four years were spent filming it because of the pandemic's lockdowns. This movie, which is a movie based on Benyamin's well-known novel of the same name, is available to stream on Netflix in multiple languages.

Aadujeevitham bagged nine awards

As anticipated, the movie took home nine recognitions in the Kerala State Film Awards 2024, including makeup, screenplay, and cinematography. In addition to winning several accolades, Kaathal: The Core was also recognised for its outstanding performance in the Malayalam film industry in 2023.
