The film is written and directed by K Chandru and bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy
The first-look poster from Keerthy Suresh's next is out and it was released by none other than the Shaakuntalam actress Samantha. Taking to her social media handle, Samantha dropped the poster along with the title of the film, Revolver Rita. She captioned it ,"Wishing some of my favourite people the very best @KeerthyOfficial@Jagadishbliss #RevolverRita Looking forward to this !! @dirchandru @dineshkrishnanb @Cinemainmygenes @Aiish_suresh @TheRoute @PassionStudios_ (sic)." In the poster, Keerthy is seen giving out the retro vibes and holding two guns.
Keerthy, too, wrote on her social media handle, "Here is the first look of #RevolverRita Super excited to announce my next journey in collaboration with the @TheRoute and @PassionStudios_! (sic)." The film is written and directed by K Chandru and bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and Jagadish Palanisamy. Cinematography is by Dinesh Krishnan B and editing is by Praveen KL. While Dhilip Subbarayan will handle the stunts, Vinoth Rajkumar will be in charge of the art direction.
Interestingly, a film with the same title, Revolver Reeta, was released in 1970 as well. It starred Vijayalalitha and Jothilakshmi and was directed by KSR Dass. There is no clarity on whether this is a remake of the film. Considering Keerthy is seen in a retro look, there are chances that the film is inspired from the original.
Keerthy Suresh is also working on Raghu Thatha, which will be written and directed by Suman Kumar and will be bankrolled by Hombale Films. Going by the poster from the film, it looks like the film will be about Hindi imposition. The title has been borrowed from the iconic line 'Ek gaon mein ek kisan raghu thatha' from K Bhagyaraj's 1981 film, Indru Poi Naalai Vaa. It is to be noted that every time the debate about Hindi imposition heats up, these legendary lines from the film surface on the internet.
