Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the movie also stars Aadhi Pinisetty and Jagapathi Babu
The makers of Keerthy Suresh’s sports romantic comedy have revealed the new release date for the movie. Good Luck Sakhi will be released on January 28, 2022, two days after Republic Day.
The National Award winning actor will take the lead in the woman-centric movie, which is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The director who made a name for himself with the Indie film Hyderabad Blues is making his Telugu film debut with the project.
The movie will see Suresh play the role of a shooter and Aadhi Pinisetty will play the male lead. Jagapathi Babu is also playing a pivotal role in the movie, and Ramaprabha and Rahul Ramakrishna will also be seen in supporting roles.
Good Luck Sakhi is presented by Dil Raju and produced by Sudheer Chandra Padiri under Worth A Shot Motion Arts.
The story follows Sakhi, who supposedly brings bad luck to everyone around her. Following the death of her fiance, she starts to train as a sharpshooter. The makers are also expected to ramp up the promotions, with the release date getting closer.
Good Luck Sakhi is a multilingual project and has been simultaneously made in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
In the technical front, ace music director Devi Sri Prasad has composed the score for the movie while Chirantan Das has cranked the camera and Sreekar Prasad is the editor.
The makers had earlier announced that the movie would hit theaters on November 26, 2022, but had to be pushed back due to the pandemic. The teaser for the movie was released in August 2020 and received good response from fans.
Keerthy Suresh was last seen in two big projects that his theaters, Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe and Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea starring Mohanlal.
