Agastya Nanda, who belongs to the Bachchan family, is all set for his acting debut. For the uninitiated, the star kid is the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan and the son of Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda. Agastya will be starring alongside Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor in the Zoya Akhtar directorial titled The Archies. The live-action musical film is set to be a Netflix release.

On Monday, the shoot for The Archies kicked off and Big B sent his best wishes to Agastya. The legendary star took to his Twitter page and wrote, "Agastya, a new chapter begins in your life and there cannot be greater joy among us all... my blessings, my love, and my wishes ever... do well... AND keep the flag flying!!!"

Netflix India made the announcement on their Instagram page with a caption stating, "Milkshakes for everyone because THE ARCHIES MOVIE IS NOW FILMING. #TheArchiesOnNetflix @zoieakhtar, @reemakagti1, @tigerbabyfilms, @ArchieComics, @graphicindia."

While Zoya wrote, "Back To The Future #thearchies #supercalifragilisticexpialidocious @netflix_in @tigerbabyfilms @reemakagti1."

Reema Kagti who is co-producing the film with Akhtar under their home banner Tiger Baby Films also stated, "#Archie’s #shootstarts #TigerBaby’s first solo production #partnerincrime @zoieakhtar @netflix_in."

"I'm excited to have the opportunity to bring The Archies to life," the Gully Boy filmmaker said in a statement. It consumed a significant portion of her youth and adolescence. The director is anxious since the figures are legendary and well-known around the world. Akhtar must make sure that the film captures the memory of a generation that grew up with the comic while also speaking to today's youth.

For more than 50 years, Archie Comics' characters and ideas have resonated with fans all across the world, particularly in India, according to CEO and Publisher Jon Goldwater. From the standpoint of Indian film, they are overjoyed to be working with Netflix and have entire faith in Zoya Akhtar and her creative team to offer a very unique and engaging take on Archie and his pals.

The premiere date for The Archies on Netflix is yet to be announced.
