How did Amitabh Bachchan come on board for KBC?
The Piku actor celebrated KBC's silver jubilee in the latest episode. It also featured heartfelt wishes from Kajol, AR Rahman, and Abhishek Bachchan. During the episode, the veteran actor revealed how he was offered the reality game show. He confessed that he was confused when this idea was first introduced to him.
The production team even arranged his visit to the LC Studio in London, where the game was being played, to help him understand the format. He further said that he told the KBC team if they could recreate the same atmosphere (lively energy) in India, only then he would agree to host. He added, "The makers didn't notice my heartbeat, and the camera didn’t capture my legs shaking on the first day. I had no idea what was going to happen. I decided to speak whatever came to mind."
Big B reveals how his family reacted to him joining KBC
Shockingly, Big B's family thought he was making a 'big mistake' by taking up the hosting duties. He shared, "When I told my family members that I was going to host KBC, I won’t name anyone, but some of them said, 'You are making a big mistake. People see you on the big screen, and now they'll see you on the small screen?' I didn't listen to them and went ahead. And here I am, sitting in this chair for the past 25 years."
