The quiz show, hosted by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, premiered on August 12 this year. A total of 9 episodes of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 have aired so far on Sony TV. The makers also share emotional, funny, and inspiring KBC 16 promos on social media. The latest promo highlights a female contestant getting emotional while talking about her son's health.

KBC 16's new promo features Shalini Sharma, a homemaker from Delhi, getting emotional as she talks about her 18-year-old son's health. She gets teary-eyed while telling Amitabh Bachchan that her son gets around 40 seizures a day. The legendary actor gets worried.
He further surprises the contestant by showcasing her kids' video on a screen. The contestant gets emotional but is also determined to win a huge prize money for her younger son. Big B lauds her courage and the KBC 16 promo ends with Shalini attempting Rs 50 lakh question. Sharing the promo on Instagram, SonyLIV wrote, "Witness a mother's will power to win and change the destiny of her child's health! Watch Kaun Banega Crorepati, Mon-Fri at 9 PM on Sony LIV (sic)."
Contestant attempts Rs 1 crore question
Before Shalini Sharma, a contestant named Nareshi Meena attempted the Rs 50 lakh question. She answered it correctly and tried to answer the Rs 1 crore question but failed in her attempt. She eventually took home Rs 50 lakh. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Nareshi shared what she plans to do with her prize money.
"My purpose for coming to KBC was to recover the cost for proton therapy, but Big B sir said that he would be taking the responsibility of handling all the expenses for it. So I feel free from that responsibility," she said.
