Kavin's next with Vignesh Shivan, titled Oor Kuruvi, is inspired from true events

Actor Kavin, who shot to fame with Bigg Boss Tamil 3 earned a huge fan base among movie buffs after his participation in the reality show. His first release after his stint with the show was Lift which started premiering on Disney+ Hotstar recently. There have been speculation on him teaming up with Nayanthara-Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures for a project.

And now, the production house has made it official. Their Twitter handle came up with an amusing video of Kavin and Vignesh having a conversation inside a lift. The social media account tweeted, "And on this auspicious day, we are super happy to announce our next project starring @Kavin_m_0431, directed by @arunpatrician and produced by Yours Truly!"

Directed by Arun K, the movie is titled Oor Kuruvi. They also posted a first look of the project and a picture of Vignesh and Kavin posing for a photo. The first look has a big bird's nest and a huge crowd in its background seen in a long shot. Taking to Twitter, Arun expressed his happiness on coming on board as the movie's director and thanked Nayanthara and Vignesh for the opportunity.

He tweeted, "Have dreamt of this moment every day. Feels surreal. Thank you Wikki anna and Nayan mam for making my dream a reality. Can’t ask for a better debut." The female lead and other cast and crew of the project is yet to be announced. According to the makers, Oor Kuruvi is inspired from true events.

Meanwhile, the production house' upcoming movie, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal is said to be premiering on Disney+ Hotstar, and an official announcement is awaited on the same. The song, Two Two Two, composed by Anirudh, is already a rage on the internet, and film buffs are looking forward to watching the rom-com, which has Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha in lead roles.
