Kavin and Reba John’s Akash Vaani is now streaming in Telugu too; here’s where to watch this rom-com web series

The Tamil web series Akash Vaani is now streaming in Telugu too in the digital space. The romance comedy is available on Aha, which also has its original Tamil version. The seven-episode series features Kavin, Reba John, Vinsa Sam, Livingston, Sharath Ravi, and Deepak Paramesh in lead roles.

Reviews for the web series were mixed, with many criticising its superficial plot and bland performances.

When rom-coms feature compelling characters, plausible romantic moments, and some lighthearted moments, they are entertaining to watch. However, all of this is rendered meaningless in Akash Vaani due to the lack of originality in the characters.

The performance and one-liners of Sharath Ravi, as well as the on-screen duo of Reba and Kavin, are what make the series memorable. The lack of genuine moments and entertaining sequences gives viewers a monotonous experience throughout the web series.

This web series does have some scenes that become repetitive after a while. Apart from this, the plot appears flimsy, and viewers are not emotionally engaged in the characters.

Plot of Akash Vaani

A young author, Teena, is having trouble landing a publisher's attention while she works on a story inspired by the romantic lives of two of her college roommates, Akash and Vaani.

Vaani is adamant about not giving Akash a second chance, as he is portrayed as a self-obsessed individual who turns into a workaholic after marriage. After learning of the couple's breakup, Teena arranges a college reunion in an attempt to reunite them and gather more interesting incidents from their lives for her book.

Kavin’s debut in digital space

The Lift actor made his debut in the digital space with the Tamil web series Akash Vaani, directed by Enoc Able. His last film was Dada, which was released in 2023. The new-age romantic comedy, which was critically acclaimed as well as a commercial success, is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Kavin, who was a contestant on Bigg Boss Tamil—Season 3, will play the lead roles in Star and Kiss this year.
