Sriram Raghavan is one of the finest Bollywood filmmakers. He has helmed critically acclaimed movies like Badlapur, Andhadhun, Merry Christmas, and more. His recent project Merry Christmas, featuring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, opened to a thunderous response from the critics as well as the audience. The film is also performing decently well at the box office. In fact, Merry Christmas has dethroned Andhadhun to become Sriram Raghavan's highest-rated movie on IMDb.
The list of top 5 Sriram Raghavan's highest-rated movies on IMDb was released today. With a rating of 8.8, Merry Christmas has become his top-rated film on the platform. It was followed by Andhadhun with a rating of 8.2, Johnny Gaddaar (7.9), Ek Hasina Thi (7.5) and Badlapur (7.4).
For the uninitiated, Andhadhun featured Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role while Neil Nitin Mukesh played a pivotal role in Johnny Gaddaar. As far as Ek Hasina Thi is concerned, this Sriram Raghavan directorial had Saif Ali Khan and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan essayed the main character in Badlapur, which also starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, and Radhika Apte.
Meanwhile, Merry Christmas has done a decent box office business. After five days of its theatrical run, the Sriram Raghavan directorial stands at Rs 12.50 crore. It remains to be seen how the film fares further at the ticket window.
Now that Merry Christmas has been released in cinema halls, the director will move on to his next directorial venture, which is titled Ekkis. As per media reports, the film will feature Jaideep Ahlawat, Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda and Dharmendra in pivotal parts. The movie is said to be set against the backdrop of the 1971 war and follows the life story of the war hero Arun Khetarpal.
While Agastya will reportedly play the lead character, veteran actor Dharmendra will essay the role of his father ML Khetarpal.
