Kartik Aaryan on comparison with Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: His shoes are too big to fill

The Anees Bazmee directorial also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in lead roles.

Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani and Tabu starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 trailer is finally out and the fans cannot keep calm. The upcoming movie is a standalone sequel to the Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer 2007 movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

At the trailer launch event, speaking about the comparison between Akshay and him, Kartik said, "I don't want to compare it by myself because his shoes are too big to fill." "I have loved him in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I have grown up watching him. So, I think it's better not to compare," he added.

He also mentioned that he loved Akshay as an actor. "We have kept the title of the movie and a few characters' names from the last one only, which is nostalgic too. But we've tried to put more new things and new characters as well. So, I hope people will love its own new dynamic and the world that we have created with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. I hope people remember Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as a whole another film," Kartik added at the trailer launch event.

The trailer of the movie seems completely different from the first part apart from a few glimpses. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2's new promo sees Kirana as the Manjulika, while to everyone's surprise, it also witnesses Kartik as the main ghost singing the famous 'Ami Je Tomar' song in the end.

The director of the forthcoming comedy-horror movie, Anees Bazmee, shared the trailer on his official IG handle and wrote, "This family is all set to re-open its box of secrets! Trailer out now: Link in bio Watch the family entertainer, releasing in cinemas on 20th May, 2022! (Sic)."
